Faculty Portal: Student Accessibility Services (SAS)

You can use the portal to manage and view Letters of Accommodation (LOA) for students enrolled in your courses.

  • View Accommodation Letters : Use the "Your Confirmation" column for your own tracking (note: this is not monitored by SAS).
  • Manage Courses : Manage letters of accommodation by course. Helpful if you teach multiple courses.

IMPORTANT: If there are any accommodations outlined in a letter of accommodation that cannot be implemented within your course structure, you must contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) as soon as possible to determine an appropriate alternative.

Testing Integrity and Confidentiality

SAS continues to promote the academic standards set by the Nipissing University Academic Integrity Policy.

SAS acknowledges that faculty may have concerns regarding testing integrity when any students write at a different date/time than the class.

As such, as part of the SAS Testing Agreement, students registered with SAS have pledged:

  • not to discuss or ask about the contents of the upcoming test/exam with anyone
  • not to use any of the testing information to review/prepare students for a test (in rare cases of writing before the regularly scheduled time of the test/exam)
  • not to disclose to any person any materials, items, or content related to any test/exam/evaluation administered by Nipissing University
